ACCT 100: Small Business Accounting (9/12/22-12/7/22) M/W 3:30pm-5:35pm In Person - Brea Olinda HS

This course teaches basic accounting as required for a small business. A semester-long practice case gives students the opportunity to input routine transactions and prepares monthly financials for a small business. Topics covered are sales, receivables, uncollectible accounts, payables, inventory, payroll, general ledger, depreciation, cash management, monthly bank reconciliations and financial statement reporting. Students learn how to compute payroll, prepare payroll checks and prepare federal and state payroll reports. Different forms of businesses are reviewed, with emphasis on bookkeeping for a sole proprietorship. (Degree Credit) (CSU)

AJ 100 Introduction to Criminal Justice (9/6/22-12/10/22) 100% ONLINE - Brea Olinda

This course provides students with an introduction and overview of the American criminal justice system. This course examines the history, development and philosophy of criminal justice and summarizes fundamental practices found in law enforcement, the courts and corrections in a democratic society. Topics include the purpose of social control, theories of crime causation, the nature of police work, judicial procedures and correctional strategies in the United States. (Degree Credit) (CSU) (UC)

CIS 160: Intro to Cyber Security (9/7/22-12/7/22)- M/W 3:30pm-5:00pm *HYBRID - Brea Olinda

In this course, students will be introduced to the complex world of cyber security and technology. Students will analyze security problems and practice simulated security activities. Topics will address technologies and security-related topics progressing from individual computers to more complex internet-based systems. (Degree Credit) (CSU)

TECH 151: Applied Drone Piloting (9/6/22-12/8/22) TH 3:30pm-5:00pm In Person / *Hybrid - Brea Olinda

In this course, students will learn the basics of piloting an unmanned aerial system, or drone, and how it can be applied in their preferred career (Administration of Justice, Construction, Cinematography, Environmental Science, Geography, Journalism, Photography, Physical Education, Real Estate, Welding, and many others). Students will gain industry-specific experience with UAS. (CSU) (Degree Credit)

*HYBRID- Combined Online, ZOOM, in-person (synchronous and asynchronous)

*ZOOM- This class is scheduled similarly to an in-person class with set meeting times using Zoom (synchronous)

*ONLINE-This class is fully online and does not require in-person class meetings (asynchronous)
